He estado haciendo muchas cosas, tantas, que he dejado de publicar en las diferentes plataformas como lo había estado haciendo tiempo atrás.

Me gusta la escritura creativa, me gusta dedicarme a un tema y explorarlo al máximo, y hasta hacer de ello una serie; sin embargo, aún quiero abarcar tantas cosas que necesito, que el tiempo me falta, o mejor dicho, aún no termino de organizarlo por completo. Bien dice el dicho que el que mucho abraza poco aprieta, y este, señoras y señores de esta plataforma, es lo que me está pasando.

Actualmente estoy escribiendo libros de crecimiento personal y algo de finanzas; no quería hacerlo al principio porque… ¿Qué podría enseñarles que ya ustedes no lo sepan? Sin embargo, conversando con alguien que ya ha publicado sus libros, me dio la más grande bofetada literaria que he recibido en mi vida.

Me dijo:

—Pero… ¿Quién te dijo que tienes que ser un erudito para exponer tus pensamientos acerca de un tema cualquiera? No todos comenzamos desde las alturas, sino desde la base de la misma montaña, y a medida que escalamos, vamos contando nuestras experiencias, las mejores y las peores anécdotas, los triunfos y los fracasos, los aciertos y desaciertos.

En ese instante vino a mi memoria, la cual es altamente eficaz, aquella famosa frase de un predicador de las Bahamas, quien frecuentemente decía:

El lugar más rico del mundo es el cementerio; allí están enterradas ideas monumentales, proyectos que no se ejecutaron, canciones que nunca se escribieron ni cantaron, poemas que jamás fueron recitados y libros que jamás fueron escritos.

Y volvió a decirme:

—¿Quieres que ocurra lo mismo con tus libros, con tus ideas y aportes que podrían salvar la vida de otra persona?

Y créanme, nunca lo había pensado de esa manera.

Cuando dejé de darme excusas y comencé a buscar razones para emprender este proyecto, fueron apareciendo uno a uno los escritores que, antes de convertirse en un bestseller, fueron personas que estuvieron al borde del suicidio o cuyas vidas estaban tocando fondo por alguna desgracia proveniente del amor, el alcohol o simplemente que estaban en el lugar, el momento y con la gente incorrecta.

Leer todo esto hizo que, por fin, al final de mi propio túnel, viera esa luz que guía a cualquier ser humano a convertirse día a día en una mejor versión de sí mismo, en alguien que, el día que le toque partir de este mundo, haya hecho su contribución para hacerlo mucho mejor de lo que lo encontró, o por lo menos, ayudar a alguien a cambiarse a sí mismo.

Y pues, aquí estoy como Lázaro, quitándome las vendas después de escuchar la voz de Jesús cuando lo invitó a salir de su sepulcro. ¡He resucitado de mi letargo! He hecho algunos compromisos conmigo mismo para mejorar mis hábitos, mis tiempos y, por regla general, mi vida.

I’ve been doing numerous things—so many, in fact, that I’ve stopped publishing on the various platforms the way I used to some time ago.

I enjoy creative writing; I like dedicating myself to a specific topic and exploring it to the fullest—even turning it into a series. However, I still want to tackle so many things that I need to address that I simply run out of time—or rather, I haven't quite finished organizing my schedule completely yet. As the saying goes, “He who grasps at too much holds onto very little.” And that, ladies and gentlemen of this platform, is exactly what is happening to me right now.

Currently, I am writing books on personal growth and a bit on finance. I didn't want to do this at first because… well, what could I possibly teach you that you don't already know? However, while chatting with someone who has already published their books, I received the biggest “literary slap in the face” of my life.

They said to me:

—But… who told you that you have to be a scholar to share your thoughts on any given subject? None of us start from the summit; we all begin at the very base of the mountain. And as we climb, we share our experiences—our best and worst anecdotes, our triumphs, and failures, our successes and our missteps. At that very instant—thanks to my highly efficient memory—that famous quote by a preacher from the Bahamas came to mind; he would often say:

The richest place in the world is the cemetery; buried there are monumental ideas, projects that were never executed, songs that were never written or sung, poems that were never recited, and books that were never written.

And he asked me again:

—Do you want the same thing to happen to your books—to your ideas and contributions that could save another person's life?

And believe me, I had never thought of it that way before.

Once I stopped making excuses and began looking for reasons to undertake this project, the stories of various writers began to emerge—one by one. Before becoming bestsellers, these were people who had stood on the brink of suicide, or whose lives had hit rock bottom due to some misfortune involving love, alcohol, or simply being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and with the wrong people.

Reading all of this allowed me—finally—to see that light at the end of my tunnel: the light that guides every human being to become, day by day, a better version of themselves; to become someone who, on the day they must depart this world, has made their contribution to leave it a far better place than they found it—or, at the very least, to help someone else change themselves for the better.

And so, here I stand—like Lazarus—shedding my grave clothes after hearing the voice of Jesus call him forth from his tomb. I have risen from my slumber! I have made certain commitments to myself to improve my habits, my time management, and—as a general rule—my life.
