Blurt Publisher is now available in the official WordPress plugin directory

Today I can finally say it officially: Blurt Publisher has been approved and is now available in the WordPress plugin directory .

This is an important step, because WordPress users can now connect their website, blog or WooCommerce store with the Blurt network much more easily.

Blurt Publisher allows WordPress content to be automatically published to Blurt. It can publish full posts, post excerpts, and WooCommerce products. This means that website owners and content creators do not have to manually copy their content between WordPress and Blurt.

The most important part of this version is the Direct RPC mode. In this mode, WordPress prepares the transaction, signs it locally, and broadcasts it directly to public Blurt RPC nodes. This means that in the default mode, the private posting key is not sent to an external endpoint.

A lot of work went into this release:

direct publishing through Blurt RPC, local transaction signing, full post or excerpt publishing, separate WooCommerce product publishing, separate schedules for posts and products, support for communities, tags and market categories, encryption of saved keys in the WordPress database, secure legacy endpoint fallback for older or problematic installations, management panels for published posts and products, a welcome page inside the WordPress dashboard, compatibility improvements for the WordPress Plugin Directory.

I am very happy about this, because it is no longer just an experimental script or a private plugin. It is becoming a real tool that can help content creators enter the Blurt ecosystem without leaving WordPress.

For me, this is also another step toward building bridges between the traditional web and decentralized social networks.

WordPress is still one of the most popular publishing systems in the world. If even a small part of creators can publish their content to Blurt with a simple workflow, this can become a very practical way to increase activity and visibility for the Blurt network.

This is just the beginning. In future versions, I want to develop Blurt Publisher further — not only as a tool for publishing from WordPress to Blurt, but also as a bridge for displaying Blurt content directly inside WordPress websites.
