Although public art is gaining popularity across the country, Vancouver has decided to make the most of this trend and showcase local talent by hosting a mural festival. This one-day event in August brings together more than 40 artists, both Canadian and international, combining the city’s energy and culture to celebrate art in the downtown core.

The festival, which took place on the main street, added more than 40 new murals to the area and was complemented by a street party featuring local bands, market stalls, and much more. In the evening, after the painting activities, additional events were held, including several performances at popular venues.
