Curator Cat and Friends Enjoying Their Caturday!

Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Blurtlandia!

I hope your day has been treating you well, because it's the weekend, and it is Saturday... and Saturday means CATURDAY!

Just a cat named Shadow... and his shadow!

In case you're not familiar with Caturday, it's something that has been happening every Saturday for almost 20 years on the Web: A day when people all around the world post pictures of their Feline friends!

And Caturday is — in large part — one of the major reasons behind why cats have become the unofficial mascots of the Internet!

We have had a lovely — and mostly quiet — Caturday around our place, with a sunny/breezy late winter day outside, and lots of lovely sunny spots for naps inside the house!

And we cats do love our sunny spots!

Shangri and Nala came from the same litter, and for several months were each other's only support system... so they are very tightly bonded.

The Hoomans are quite busy doing something they are calling "spring cleaning," which also has something to do with them wanting to move to a smaller house next year.

It's an interesting process that involves sorting stuff from a lot of boxes... and we all know that cats love boxes — both little and large!

Nothing like a good box to make a cat happy!

Meanwhile, we are doing our best to "stay active" with the blog here on Blurt!

We mostly do this because there are always lots of cat pictures being taken around here, and celebrating Caturday is something we do all the time. Not sure whether or not Blurt will ever "become something," but at least we'll have fun building our little stake, in the meantime!

Smudge is doing very well... particularly for a 20-year old kitty!

Well, that about does it for the Caturday update... and we even managed to get it published on Caturday, for a change!
